Nayantara has first decided quit acting and her last movie was supposed to be Ramarajjyam in which she played the role of Seetha.
After watching her role in Ramarajjyam Director Ram gopal varma has offered her a role in his upcoming movie inspired by Ramayana. Although Nayantara refused at first later she accepted the role . Nayantara wil play the role of Mandodari - Ravanan's wife in the movie . It is to be noted that Nagarjuna plays the role of Ravana.
