The Directors’ Union has come up with a new set of guidelines and proposals. As per this, the Union has decided to reduce the membership fees for assistant directors from 25000 to 15000. Further, a new membership known as associate membership has been introduced and fee for this has been fixed to be 2500. Television serial directors and film institute students will get a fee waiver.
Apart from this several other new rules and regulations have been included. All directors wanting to work in Tamil film industry must be a member of the Directors’ Union, states the press note. These rules will come into force from January 1st, 2012.
