Mirror Mirror, Julia Roberts Admits She Is Under Director's Spell

The battle of the Snow Whites continues to rage on. Two new posters were released for theTarsem Singh-directed Mirror Mirror and they could not be more different from the posters that have been released for the rival Snow White and the Huntsman. From the posters and trailers, these two movies look about as similar as 28 Days and 28 Days Later.
While the posters for Snow White and the Huntsman are dark and dramatic, these posters for Mirror Mirror are light and pretty. Evil Queen Julia Roberts gives a cold and conniving, side-long look at Lily Collin's Snow White in one poster, and she's described as "One Bad Apple" in the other, but she certainly doesn't look like she's about to consume Snow's heart as part of her beauty regimen. Even though Robert's character isn't the most evil queen on the block, it turns out she almost didn't do the movie.
In a recent interview with Extra, Roberts admits that originally she was completely disinterested in the project.
I was like, "This is a terrible idea"... I was against it a thousand percent.
It seems with that sort of opposition to the idea, it would take something major to convince the actress to take on the role. It turns out all that was necessary was a meeting with the director. She actress admitted that regardless of her initial hesitations, after a meeting with Singh she "fell so under his spell."
