Tweet Review: 'Players', first day, first show

Abbas-Mustan's much publicized thriller 'Players' has released on the first Friday of the New Year 2012. The film stars Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Bobby Deol, Sonam Kapoor and Neil Nitin Mukesh in pivotal roles. The film also has Sikander Kher, Omi Vaidya and Vinod Khanna.
Based on the famous heist film 'The Italian Job', 'Players' is expected to keep the audiences glued to their seats till the end. The original Hollywood flick was made in 1969 starring Michael Caine, Noel Coward and Benny Hill. It was remade in 2003 in a sleek racy style starring Mark Wahlberg, Charlize Theron and Jason Statham. In both the movies - the main crux was a million dollar heist for gold bars.
While director duo Abbas-Mastan has always delivered sharp and exciting thrillers - this is the first time a Hollywood movie is directly being remade by them in Bollywood style. Lets see how the Bollywood remake fares.
