Gone are the days when Miley Cyrus was your cute little girl. She has grown up enough to play a typical American adult. Her latest film ‘LOL: Laughing Out Loud’ will put her acting skills to test again.
The film is the Hollywood remake of the 2008 French film by the same name. It features Miley Cyrus, Demi Moore, Ashley Greene and Adam Sevani in pivotal roles.
The film is directed by Lisa Azuelos and Karim Ainouz. It is scheduled for a February 10 release in India.
The basic story is about a 15 year old girl Lola (Miley Cyrus) who gets dumped by her boyfriend. The girl wants to take revenge and thus sets her eyes on the boy's best friend. She also starts to experiment with sex and drugs while her 40 year old mother (Demi Moore) is still not out of the trauma of her divorce.
'LOL' showcases the world of a typical American teenager which is surrounded by YouTube, Facebook and several other social networking mediums. This world may look very happening and crazy from outside but inside it is creating an army of lonely and unfulfilled people.
The world has changed so fast and so much that the generation gap and communication gap have started to kill the real essence of the relationships.
Miley Cyrus is not a new name for the big screen lovers. This is her ninth film which is supposed to target her niche audience base of casual American teenagers.
